I Zoom, you Zoom, WE ALL ZOOM! As a PwP — Person With Parkinson’s — I have had opportunity after opportunity to challenge my “bounce-back” capacity long before Pandemic 2020. What is truly awesome about 2020 and ongoing for me has been a deep sense of how individual choice and empowerment about framing and responding to adversity can be enhanced by group agency and support. Coach Steve modeled flexibility by adapting his in-person fitness classes to a Live Stream virtual format via Zoom.

Inspired by his example and with support from the fab folks at PMDAlliance who provide Zoom training, I have gained a whole new skill set in using Zoom. And this has opened a new avenue of national and international connections for me!

Nifty and then OUCH!

While sheltering at home to stay safe, I (ahem!) stubbed my toe on my right foot into a chair leg and fractured the toe. While I had to pause my participation in the Rock Steady Boxing class, I was able to join the Seated Mobility and Functional Fitness classes.

After six weeks, my toe was healed and this seeming setback stoked my motivation and appreciation of the “Joy of Movement” on two legs and three wheels. Zoom-zoom!!
